At Cleftsurgery.org, our mission has always been to provide life-changing surgical care and support to children and families affected by cleft conditions. Unfortunately, due to the ongoing conflict and instability in Myanmar, it is currently not possible for our teams to safely travel to the country or carry out our regular surgical missions.
The safety of our volunteers, medical professionals, local partners, and the patients we serve must remain our highest priority. For this reason, we have temporarily suspended our direct activities in Myanmar until conditions allow us to return safely and effectively.
While our surgical missions are on hold, our commitment to our goal remains unchanged. During this period, we are supporting a number of smaller projects and local initiatives through financial assistance. These projects help ensure that essential care, medical support, and community services continue to reach those in need, while remaining aligned with the objectives of our foundation.
We remain hopeful that peace and stability will return to Myanmar in the future. When circumstances permit, we look forward to resuming our direct involvement and continuing our work alongside our dedicated local partners.
